ALDO Fronori - Clearance Women Tall Boots

This boot is really cute. The leather is really nice. The width is good for me, not too narrow. The only small issue with the fit would be the calf size, it is just a little big. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Like the other revieweer I'm having problems with the calf. I do not have large calves--really! I don't think I carry extra weight there. They're just average size, about 14.5 inches. With that said I could zip the left boot up with extreme effort (i.e. I had to put my legs over my head and my husband had to help me--a very funny site). Then he tried really hard to get the right one up, and did--although i can't replicate this on my own. And I don't think I'll ever get jeans in it. Maybe the leather will stretch a bit, but I'm not expecting any drastic difference. Anyway, so if you have smaller calves and you like this boot, I'm sure you'll like it. I got the dark brown, and the color is great. The heel is very high, which I'm not that comfortable with. Also, they come to about right up to my knee. Wish Aldo would provide calf measurements, and/or make larger boots in that regard.

I was so reluctant to order these because I could not get any information on the calf measurement, and anyone who has tried on boots knows how critical that measurement can be, even if one has "average" calves. Also, I live in Alaska, and Aldo doesn't ship to Alaska, so I have to go through a third party to ship them to me, which means by the time I get them I am outside the return window.

I really like the boots - I got the two-tone suede. The suede is good quality. The contrast is not as great in the photo. The chocolate brown color is accurate but the lighter suede is only a shade or two lighter - like milk chocolate compared to dark chocolate. I think it looks very classy. Aldo runs small. The footbed is not particularly comfortable and I'll need an insole for the ball of the foot.
