I purchased these boots to go on a one-week hiking trip in Letchworth State Park (Western New York) in February. I just got back today and I have very high praise for them! We had sun, rain and eventually a foot of snow from a blizzard complete with 50 MPH winds. Temperatures ranged from 17-43 degrees over the week. We hiked 4-7 miles everyday over forest trails in the mud, water, snow and ice. Often, we were faced with abrupt elevation changes. My feet (and legs) stayed warm and dry! I was able to tuck 3 layers of clothing into these boots with no problem, so my pants were dry as well. They were comfortable from day one and needed no break-in period. I usually wear size 9.5-10, and these fit perfectly with 2 pair of socks; not loose, not snug. They had good traction on all surfaces.

I look forward to more winter hiking adventures and Western New York winters in these wonderful boots!

i ordered these on a standard postage same time as the ahnu hiking boots and they arrived less than a week of ordering (to australia), i am very pleased with both of them, look great and just gorgeous colour, light and very comfortable.

These boots are exactly what I was looking for! I got the coffee bean because it would go with both black and brown which I wear alot...I am usually wearing between an 8.5 and a 9 depending on the shoe and have even worn up to an 9.5 in boots...I ordered a 9 and the fit is just fine...I probably could wear the 8.5, but the 9 has plenty of room for a thicker sock or insert but is also fine without (I have flatter, narrow feet) but I like the extra wiggle room..I thought the flaps could flip up for higher snow but they are fixed to the boot..no problem though... I also have slimmer calves so I don't feel the flaps "wing out"...These boots are so cute with skinny jeans and my hooded puffer coat...I'm comfortable but still feel a little stylish not like some of the bulky boots out there. My friend liked them so much she ordered her own pair...Can't wait to try these in the snow...the back of the boot is suede, so just for good measureI sprayed the boots with the leather protectant shoe...Read more
