Comfortable but they look more like pirate boots. I ordered the black and did not realize until I got them that they had the band of brown around the top. In addition though I laced them as tight as I could, they sagged at the ankle and looked awful. Seemed to have too much material there. Wish I knew a cobbler who could fix it. That said, the shoes were quite comfortable and my dislike is for purely aesthetic reasons.
