I love these boots! It's comfy, it's got some height, and despite the heel height it doesn't make your feet slide to the front and press on your toes (which typically happens to me when wearing socks in high-heeled booties). It fits true to size, although I recommend getting a half size larger to accommodate thicker socks (I'm a size 5M, got a 5.5M). I got the navy blue, and it's a very nice color, it should go with any type of pant color that I have (mostly neutrals).

I like the shape of the boot - some boots I had don't have much shape in them, which doesn't help my small frame because they give the illusion of cankles. These have the "curve" that helps me look taller.

The shaft is really soft, thick enough for the mild winter weather, and the criss-cross pattern on the sole has enough traction to be able to walk on a couple inches of snow and slush (all the nice boots that I looked at unfortunately had little or no traction at all, and I am a clumsy walker on...Read more

Sadly, I had to return these boots... When I opened the package and tried them on, they appeared ideal, better than in my wildest boot-dreams (uber-super-comfy for my painful feet, splendid blue color, perfect heel height, versatility and so on). But then, I took a look in the mirror: if it weren't for the enormous, HUGE calf opening, I would have bought five of those, in all colors, and sworn to never buy another boot again in my whole life! No such luck: extending three inches out from the back of my knee, they look like wide open buckets, ready to receive a whole season's rain in them, and still large enough to work as umbrella stand when the rain stops, all with my (medium-sized) calves still in them. Terrible mistake, how could a designer kill such otherwise perfect boots?

These boots are quite attractive- I loved them, but the calf is really wide.
Not good for thinner legs. Real shame b/c these were the exact style I was looking for but even better.
